Double Coil Solenoids
There are two fixed stroke end places for double coil solenoids. These bistable solenoids have mechanically determined end positions.
These linear solenoids are held in place by permanent magnetic force rather than a current source. The polarity can be reversed with just an electrical impulse. Locking systems frequently employ double-coil solenoids.
