Magnetic Assemblies
Magma manufactures magnetic assemblies. Magnetic assemblies are products or parts of products that have magnets or electromagnets installed. We can design, prototype,e and manufacture any new part combined with magnets. We are capable of manufacturing magnetic parts or applications already used or manufactured for your company. Our team will be happy to assist you. Please contact us for more information.
Magma’s engineering services include magnetic (application) design & consulting. Our team has many years of experience with all sorts of magnetic assemblies. Magnet assembling requires special know-how. Strong magnets are pretty hard to handle and risky even to experienced employees. While small magnets require special processes to ensure accurate installation. Save time and money and use our outsourcing services.
Here are some examples of magnetic assemblies. Please keep in mind that Magma can supply most of the magnetic assemblies available in the market.
FMR - Custom Made
Full Magnetic Ring – A radially magnetized multi-polar stator ring. Available made from Ferrite, NdFeB and SmCo magnets. Assembled and supplied according to customer specification and available with close tolerances.
Dipoles
Dipoles are special magnetic assemblies used when an application requires a specific magnetic field strength and uniformity over a specific volume. Dipoles usually consist of a pair of magnets across a gap (of equal magnitude but of opposite polarity), mounted within a steel frame. Dipoles are tailor-made solutions that are designed and manufactured according to customers’ needs.
Halbach
A Halbach array is a special arrangement of permanent magnets that makes the magnetic field on one side of the array stronger while canceling the field to near zero on the other side. This can be achieved by changing the magnetic field vectors in each separated magnet.
For example, it is possible to create a concentrated field on the inner side of an annular Halbach array, while outside the array, the field will be extremely weak.
Operations in the Halbach array are diverse. Nevertheless, it should be noted that this is a very
high-level magnetic design that usually must be performed on dedicated software
for magnetic simulation.
